UPDATE! First Look Terminator Genisys Photos in Entertainment Weekly

UPDATE! Entertainment Weekly released the first still of the original Terminator himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger. The new issue of Entertainment Weekly is on newsstands today. Guardian_612x381

The standing rumor has been around a long time that Arnold Schwarzenegger would reprise his role as the T-800 Terminator. A newer rumor had it that Arnold would have been around for a long time, having missed his time-jump, and since his outer covering has real living tissue that is what would age making him look like an old man.

Well, today we’ve got a little confirmation of both thanks to Entertainment Weekly. They are featuring some of the first Terminator Genisys photos on their cover. Two different covers, so if you’re into that type of thing make sure you grab both!

I think everything will turn out just fine since humanity has the Mother of Dragons and Doctor Who on their side. Although I don’t see the Tardis or any dragons anywhere… Maybe that will be in the next set of released photos.

Twist No. 1? Sarah Connor isn’t the innocent she was when Linda Hamilton first sported feathered hair and acid-washed jeans in the role. Nor is she Hamilton’s steely zero body-fat warrior in 1991’s T2. Rather, the mother of humanity’s messiah was orphaned by a Terminator at age 9. Since then, she’s been raised by (brace yourself) Schwarzenegger’s Terminator—an older T-800 she calls “Pops”—who is programmed to guard rather than to kill. As a result, Sarah is a highly trained antisocial recluse who’s great with a sniper rifle but not so skilled at the nuances of human emotion.

Here are the images of EW’s covers.

Am I the only person who has zero interest in reviving this franchise. Christian Bale is my boo but I didn’t like his version.

This is a(nother) reboot. No more Christian Bale, you get Doctor Who instead…
