March Trailers

SPECTRE

Spectre, the sequel to the well regarded Skyfall Bond adventure, will be release November 6, 2015.

“You are a kite dancing in a hurricane.” Sounds ominous, no? The trailer shows off a really nice visual style, feeling very epic and yet almost claustrophobic. I was a bit disappointed there weren’t any explosions in the trailer, but clearly there is a big secret and a lot of skulking about.

Did you know that Dave Bautista will play Mr. Hinx?

Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation

The gang is back together again with their usual mix of action sprinkled with some humor here and there. Coming to theaters July 31, 2015.

Maggie

Arnold, what?

I can scarcely believe that is Arnold and he’s aparently… ACTING. And looking good doing so! The usual “it’s only a trailer” caveat applies, but I like the premise and I’m liking the cast. It looks like there is some infection that has cleaned out the population (you see scorched Earth, empty roads, “quarantine”) which looks like it may be zombie-like and Arnold’s daughter is infected. He has to choose to cure her (not sure how), take her to quarantine (presumably where she’ll die), or eventually kill her himself. Tough choices indeed. Coming to theaters May 8, 2015.

Terminator: Genisys

This new trailer features J.K. Simmons and more of the same stuff we’ve already seen. I’m mostly looking forward to this version, but I’ve got a healthy dose of skepticism. Coming to theaters July 1, 2015.

Kill Me Three Times

I usually really like Simon Pegg’s movies. This looks no different as he plays an assassin straight out of the 70’s. There’s great acting talent in here and what looks like a really quirky script. Catch a great featurette here, and know that there will be a digital release (Amazon, Google, iTunes) BEFORE the movie hits theaters on April 10th.

Avengers: Age of Ultron Extended TV Spot

CAN’T WAIT. They packed a lot of new bits into this trailer including showing us more of the Avengers “humor” that was missing from the early trailers. Lot’s to love, except for maybe Quicksilver’s accent… Coming to theaters May 1, 2015.

Tomorrowland

I’m not sure I “get” this film, but it’s coming to theaters May 22, 2015.
