Universal Pictures released the first trailer to its $2.4 billion worldwide Fast and Furious franchise, Furious 7, on Saturday.
Though no plot details have been revealed we can see the action picks up after the bonus scene of 2013’s hit left off. The trailer gives us an idea as to what we can expect. New character played by Jason Statham is out for revenge for those responsible for the death of his brother Shaw (The Hobbit star Luke Evans). And with exotic locations and over the top car action there’s no question this is sure to be another hit for the franchise.
The film sees everyone returning to the action. The late star Paul Walker is joined by series stars Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez and Jordan Brewster, along with other Fast stars: Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese, Tokyo Drift star Lucas Black, Elsa Pataky & Ludacris. Joining Jason Statham as new to the franchise are Kurt Russell, Djimon Hounsou and Tony Jaa.
Furious 7 is scheduled to hit theaters April 3.
