Marvel Tuesday continued to dominate the news following their big fan event setting up Marvel Studios Phase 3 plan. During last night’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. not only were fans treated to the first clip to the upcoming Avengers sequel, Age of Ultron but they also got a first look at the upcoming 8 part TV event, Agent Carter.
Agent Carter stars Hayley Atwell reprising her role from Captain America: The First Avenger and the follow-up The Winter Soldier. The series is described as follows: It’s 1946, and peace has dealt Peggy Carter a serious blow as she finds herself marginalized when the men return home from fighting abroad. Working for the covert SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve), Peggy must balance doing administrative work and going on secret missions for Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper also reprising his Captain America role as Tony Stark’s father).
Agent Carter debuts in January on ABC.
